This hotel allows three of any sizes of cats and dogs with no additional charges and there are treats available at the front desk and there are grassy areas around the hotel where dogs can be walked. Another one is the Clarion Hotel, Grand Junction which also allows big dogs inside! What to walk around and have a beer you can’t leave you pup? You don’t have to worry anymore since they have Pet Sitting available in this hotel. Red Roof Inn, Grand Junction may also be your choice since there is a pet-friendly hotel too. You can’t just leave your dog unattended but they have grass around the property for your dog-relief.
Now we look something to make you and your fur-babies busy. The question is what to do next? Let’s go to Canyon View Dog Park, The area is enclosed by a 6’ chain link fence with two separate double-gated entry points and is approximately 3.2 acres separated into two areas for small/senior and large/active dogs. The east point is for more active and larger dogs. The west area is for those small, senior, or shy dogs. . Each entry point allows an owner to leash and unleash their dog within a secure area. It has been proven very important that prior to them entering the off-leash area, for the dogs to be unleashed in order to avoid fights and conflicts. Here is another awesome park that your dog will love it, this is River Bend Park. It’s also off-leash park and there is a trail beside the Colorado River so you can let your dog wandering around the park, they also give complimentary poop bag to keep the cleanliness of the park. There are still a lot of trails around the area like Palisade Rim Trail where you can bring your dog and hike there. This trail offers great views, petroglyphs and serious cliff-side hiking this is a great adventure for you and your pup. The trail is steep and rocky, making it an excellent option for dogs who love to climb and jump. Also along the way, at the top of the lower loop are petroglyphs. Signs along the trail will navigate you to them.
Finding a place to eat is a little bit challenging especially when you have your pup with you but don’t worry we got your covered. 626 on Rood has a very nice outdoor dining so your dog will be comfortable eating with you. They serve American cuisine with an emphasis on wine. Another one is Spoons Bistro & Bakery which outdoor dining is also available. They provide simple, fresh, and local food from the heart. Dogs are also welcome at Blue Moon Bar and Grille, where you and your pup will find nine pet-friendly tables outside. The menu is made up of Greek food, Asian bites, and pub grub.
